Wilson Fundations Level K

Wilson Fundations for K-3 is a phonological/phonemic awareness, phonics and spelling program for the general education classroom. Fundations is based upon the Wilson Reading System® principles and serves as a prevention program.

Wilson Reading System® Introductory Workshop/Applied Methods - 3-Day Overview

This workshop provides an introduction to the Wilson Reading System® and is a prerequisite for all other Wilson training. *Wilson Just Words® Introduction (*New from Wilson Language!)

Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm first day, 9:00am to 3:00pm second day (10 CEU hours)
Wilson Just Words® provides a curriculum for the study of word structure through the six syllable types in English and the most common Latin roots. It is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4 -12 and adults who do not require intensive intervention but do require explicit decoding and spelling instruction due to word-level deficits. Just Words is based on the research validated Wilson Reading System® and moves at an accelerated pace by focusing primarily on the concentrated study of word structure for reading and spelling. Just Words curriculum is designed for individuals with decoding and/or spelling scores in the 15th to 50th percentile range.
Cost is $375 per person.

Start up Day will be Monday, August 30 from 9:00-3:00 at the Academy In Manayunk
The WRS Level I Certification course prepares teachers to effectively implement WRS Steps 1-6 (there are 12 Steps in all) with students reading and spelling below grade level and those diagnosed with a language-based learning disability. Participants will demonstrate mastery of the Wilson lesson plan, including multisensory techniques and effective strategies in a 1:1 setting. WRS Starter Kit is required. Pre-requisite for Level I Certification Training: Participants are required to attend one Introductory/Applied Methods Workshop that provides an overview of the Wilson Reading System curriculum.
Cost is $1,850 per person ($1905.50 if paid by credit card)

Registration is required before the event and is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is due at the time of registration and includes a continental breakfast. Materials are sold separately. Payment is refundable up to 14 days prior to the event date, less a $25 processing fee. A confirmation letter will be sent with directions.
